Baysgarth House Museum

Formerly the home of the Wright-Taylor family, Baysgarth House has been in public ownership since 1930. In 2004 Champ Ltd took over the management of the house including its buildings, museum, collections and archives.

Staffed mainly by a team of dedicated volunteers, Baysgarth House Museum celebrates the lives of local people through permanent and temporary exhibitions and projects. The Museum hosts its own collections and part of the North Lincolnshire Museum Service’s archives, and is happy to assist with research enquiries.

Please note:
Over the coming weeks, Baysgarth House Museum’s stairwell ceiling will be receiving some TLC from specialist plasterers, working to remove sections of the existing plaster and replace it with the same material, helping to preserve the house for future generations. We regret that during this process the first floor is closed for maintenance for several weeks – apologies for any inconvenience. The ground floor and outbuildings are open as usual! Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for updates on progress.
